We now have Ammo for Sale in the Range Office!

Saturday, 10/17/26 at 9am Volunteers Needed! We're calling on our members to lend a hand! We need volunteers to help clear the grounds around the burn pile on the side of bay 10 and also the burn pile behind the range.
Please bring rakes, shovels and gloves. If you're available and willing to help, please let us know by contacting Vicki, at treasurer@mohavesportsmanclub.org or in the Range Office. Thank YOU!!
In addition, starting on November 2nd, Bays 9 & 10 will be closed as needed. The roof repairs are slated to begin on that date.
Thank you for your understanding and support.

On December 5th 2026 (date could change due to hunting season, please check our calender), MSC will have a fly shooting contest. The only acceptable cartridge for this competition is 22LR.
The contest will be held at bay 10 starting at 8:00 am with a safety meeting followed by a course of fire instructions for the shoot.
Entry fee price per contestant is $50 for members, $60 for nonmembers. $10 will go to the MSC and $10 will go to the Prize Pot. $30 will be applied towards a 20 foot conex for the long range shooters of MSC.
At the meeting on May 14, 2026, there were 15 complaint forms that were looked at by the board. These complaint forms were filled out in the office about the changing of the hours. The board is taking notice of the complaint forms and would like to address the matter.
At this time, it was brought to the board’s attention that the hours between 4-7 were not very widely used and that keeping the RSO’s on shift for these hours was a drain on funds for the range. We do realize that some like to come out to the range after work, but unfortunately this has not been a large enough amount to continue this practice.
If you would like to have your complaints heard there are always complaint forms in the Range office or come to the meetings which are held on the second Thursday of every month at the clubhouse would be a way to voice your complaints and reasoning. We really value your input, and these meetings are a great opportunity for all of us to brainstorm solutions together.
We need your participation to shape the best path forward, so please join us and share your ideas.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
MSC Board of Directors

We raised a flagpole with a 5ft x 8ft flag with solar lighting at our entrance!
*Thanks Craig for going back at sunset to show the flag lit up in all its glory!...and the awesome view of the Moon, Venus & Jupiter!
The range is thankful for the work they do!

In addition, we are establishing a Maintenance Fund to address necessary repairs, including replacement of the roof on Bays 9 & 10. Donations to this fund are appreciated and may be submitted at the range office.
Thank you for your understanding and support.

You MUST Register in advance to attend!
Be sure to check the Mohave Sportsman’s Club calendar for dates & times for this event.
Mohave Sportsman's Club is sponsoring this event.
Format for the Day:
Sign in for the event 15 minutes before start time.
Mandatory Safety Talk (Clubhouse): First hour of the clinic. (First time attendees to this clinic must attend; if you're not there, you don't shoot)
Divide into squads to shoot until we're done, typically 2-3 hours.
What to Expect:
For new shooters, individual mentoring from NRA certified instructors in a safe and non-threatening environment.
For more experienced shooters, bring your beginner friends, and have fun shooting after the safety talk. We’d love to build a group of shooters who come out to shoot together, so the safety talk is only required your first time attending. We’ll have more advanced targets to shoot with you as your skill level grows.
Cost:
Ready Defense, LLC does not charge for this event. Mohave Sportsman Club charges a day use fee: MSC Members pay $10.00. Non-Members pay $20.00.
What to Bring:
Hearing protection, eye protection (sunglasses with plastic lenses don't count), and a ball cap or other brimmed cap. Full coverage shoes and a shirt with a high neck (no V cut collars). Your handguns and ammunition (follow range rules; no firearms in the classroom portion of the clinic; all guns to be unloaded until they are on the line to shoot). If you do not own a firearm but want to shoot, there will be .22 LR and 9 mm caliber semi-automatic handguns available for you to use with an instructor. Please bring your ammunition. Here's what you'll need to bring to shoot our guns:
* .22 LR, high velocity, plated bullet, at least 50 rounds
* 9mmP or 9mmLuger target ammo, full metal jacket, no steel cases. (save your money and don't buy the expensive self-defense ammo for this target event)
What NOT to Bring:
Please don't wear a low-cut top. It's a very uncomfortable place to catch hot brass ejected from a semi-automatic.
For the Ladies Basics of Pistol Safety clinic please do not bring men to the clinic...we will have a few men helping us with mentoring, but this is a women's event
To register:
Contact: Greg Robertson at 858-699-0040, greg@readydefenseaz.com; or Cheryl Robertson at 928-716-4048, cheryl@gmrweb.com to register. If there are no student sign-ups by 3 days prior to the clinic date, the clinic will be cancelled.
Be sure to check the calendar for dates & times for this event.

A Girl & A Gun Women’s Shooting League is a ladies-only organization established by women shooters for women pistol, rifle, and shotgun shooters! The league is designed to take beginners to whatever skill level they wish to achieve and provide experienced shooters with more opportunities. The objective of some is to improve their skill levels for self-defense and competitive shooting. Others also are interested in learning how to choose the right guns, gear, and accessories for long-term participation in the community.
Please check the club calendar for our next event. Normally we will meet once a month on Sunday at 2pm.
Please bring eye & ear protection, a brimmed hat, a handgun (unloaded), at least 2 magazines, a kydex holster, belt, pants with belt loops, NO serpa holsters, and 50-100 rounds of ammo.
Expect to be working on firearm safety, manipulations of your firearm, including stoppages, stance, grip, and shooting fundamentals. As the skill level of the group goes up, different shooting drills will be introduced.
You do not have to be a member of AG&AG organization, nor MSC to participate. Range fee for the events are $20 for non-MSC members and $10 for MSC members.
AG&AG membership is $50 per year and comes with many great benefits and perks. You can visit their website here: AG&AG

The range is in need of gently used chairs for our firing lines. If you have some spare seating you'd like to donate, we'd greatly appreciate it.
Your contribution will help support the range and provide a comfortable experience for our members.
Please bring your chairs to the range office! THANK YOU!!

Our deepest condolences to Jim Carter, a long time member and match director of the Cowboy Events for many years. He will be greatly missed!
Big thanks to Joseph Nemeck for stepping in to take over as the Cowboy Event Director.
The Mohave Sportsman Club could not operate without volunteers and we truly appreciate the time our volunteers contribute.
In order to keep Mohave Sportsman Club running, we need members to volunteer for various needs of the club.
Right now, we especially need a Secretary for the Board.
We also need a Volunteer Coordinator.
Other positions needed are a Match Director Trap, Skeet & Sporting Clays.
Please contact president@mohavesportsmanclub.org for more information and to volunteer. Thank YOU!!
